Zachary has started playing trumpet and had his first concert.

 Found this very handy poster in the hallway. I've been practicing, and almost have it!

Welcome to the North

Hello again! The purpose of this page will be to record our adventures in Alaska. We left California (and our Lemon Tree) on July 27, 2019 and arrived in Juneau, Alaska on August 12, 2019.  My intent is to mainly post pictures and not as many words. Mady's berry haul from the hike, washed and sorted.  Berry empanadas and berry crisps. It's possible Mady was overzealous in stuffing the empanadas, but then again, the crisps bubbled over too.

An Encounter

Alex, Zach, Mady and I went out to the Glacier to explore. While we were walking around, a ranger approached us and said we had attracted the attention of a bear. The ranger walked us to a better/safer location and we had a front row seat to Nicky (she is a regular and has a nick in her ear) emerging from the trees and walking down the trail. We also saw some beavers (pictures didn't turn out) and of course more bald eagles.
