March Madness
Not a lot happened in March. Well, that is to say we didn't have many adventures in March. On Friday, March 13, the school board decided to close Juneau schools on the following Monday and Tuesday to prepare a plan in regards to the threat of Covid-19. By Friday evening, the governor had closed all Alaska schools for the next two weeks. The second of those weeks was our scheduled spring break and the community was hopeful. By the end of the week, Zach's state hockey tournament was cancelled, and Gma and Grandpa had to cancel their trip to visit us. As the state neared the end of the two weeks, the governor closed schools until the beginning of May and issued a "hunker down" mandate. Hunker down was a kinder way of saying Shelter In Place or simply Stay Home. Here's a pictorial of March as we navigated our crazy new reality. Zach's band concert before school's were closed.
